Waste and Recycling

Promoting a revolution in waste management
Adam Teva V’Din continues to lead reforms in how Israel manages solid waste and its adverse effects on the environment, climate and human health.

Solid waste is a resource to be recycled and reused

Adam Teva V’Din is a leading force in the development of modern solid waste practices and policies in Israel. Our advocacy and campaigning over the years has influenced how our trash is handled and disposed of, thanks to a series of solid waste laws initiated and drafted by us over the years.

Laws we are responsible for include:

  • Beverage Bottle & Container Law
  • Producers’ Extended Responsibility (Packaging ) Law
  • Electronic Waste Law
  • Plastic Bags Law

A legislative bill on Construction Waste, initiated by Adam Teva V’Din and .adopted as a government bill, is on the Knesset’s parliamentary agenda

Our priorities are to ensure that the government’s recently published National Strategy on Waste & Recycling is adhered to fully and promptly, and to promote enforcement and improvements in current legislation, while draftng a new legislative framework on Single-Use Plastic.
